When I phased out the small inner envelope, many customers asked for it back because they found it the perfect size to hand deliver the nails in. In response, I developed what became known as the gifter envelope which became the perfect solution. Unlike the old inner envelope, the gifter is die cut only, eliminating the time and cost of folding and gluing. Sold in a 25 pack.
Gifter envelope. Scope included the product idea, all product specifications and die lines. Handed off to another developer with continued input through design and production.
My design of the gifter envelope is for hand to hand transactions so I incorporated some slots on the back for the insertion of a business card. An inexpensive way to add branding, professionalism and a personal touch. Watch this video:

The gifter envelope has proven to be such an effective, versatile, low cost solution that it is regularly re-branded and used for limited edition marketing campaigns.
I designed and created this party take home bag. 13.5"x15", 3 mil poly bag with 3" bottom pleat, custom shape handle and one color art.
After listening to the needs of the consultants I began the concept for this party take home bag. I reached out to the manufacturer of the poly packaging sleeve I had previously developed and we went to work prototyping bags based on my specifications.
The material, material thickness, size, incorporation of the bottom gusset and handle design were all based on my idea for how the bag would be ideally used, the type of items and shapes going in it and the weights.
We wanted to sell polish remover and needed a differentiator so I thought of the alcohol pumps in doctors offices as a way to dispense. I reached out to my tube, bottle & jar suppliers and and sourced these pump top bottles.
They came in various sizes & colors so I received samples and began to test. Once I had tested the concept, including shipping them through the mail to myself and others to test for leakage/damage, we were off and running.
The project was passed off to another developer who saw it through manufacturing into the first launched version on the left and the improved follow up version on the right.
The development of the TruShine Gel Enamel System was assigned to another developer. While I contributed in many small ways, the contribution that gets the most feedback was the decision I made to coat the cap in that luxurious soft touch texture.
Both our heaters were off the shelf items so I was always looking for ways to make them look more on brand. With this heater, I had some made in the company color and showed the samples around. The cost was no different but for for whatever reason, the decision was made to stick with the black.
On the mini heater, we opted to go with an adhesive backed face plate with the company color and logo. I wanted each heater to come with a pack of other faceplates printed in a series nail designs so consultants could opt to go with a fresh look every so often. The idea was not adopted.
